The usually quiet and tranquil woods were alive with the sound of music and voices as people enjoyed delicious baked goods and drinks on sale for the Morii Cafe last week. Every year, the Thousand Year Camelia Park in the Yoza area of Yosano holds a festival to celebrate the thousand-year-old camellia tree that blossoms in the spring. This year, ALT Natasha’s chorus helped to make the forest resonate with song for this annual celebration. Though getting to the tree involves a small hike - and there is no phone signal deep in the forest - the chance to appreciate nature and truly be free of distractions makes this a unique event.
